Interior Painting & Remodeling Questions

Which room(s) will you be wanting an estimate for?

In those rooms is it safe to say you want ceilings, walls, all previously painted trim and closet interiors redone?

The color of the ceilings and trim are usually white and stay that color. The change of color normally falls with the wall color.

Are there any issues that need repairs? Nail holes, stress cracks, nail pops, or any other concerns? We usually include filling nail holes due to picture hangings or other types of wall mounted hangings. If you tell us what is important to you, we will include any other item you would like.

We use Sherwin Williams top line paint, but we do have accounts with most other paint stores, except big box stores. We can match Sherwin Williams to most any other vendors colors. If we know whose paint you want to use, we can make adjustments using their paint and include these in the contract.

We take preventive steps to keep dust to a minimum. We cover all furniture with thin mill plastic to protect furniture, floors are covered with either canvas or rosin paper and we lay rosin or canvas isle ways from the entry door to the rooms that will be receiving work.

This next paragraph is a particularly important statement. We will ask you where it is most convenient for us to start on a three-room grouping and will communicate with you daily as to when we will be ready to move to the next three rooms until we have completed your project. Some companies would start in every room at the same time, leaving your home in a very disorganized state, making it hard to find anything for the weeks following completion. We know having strangers in your home is unsettling and we try our best to make you as comfortable as possible.

We use our own employees for painting and most repair work so no sub-contractors. We may need an outside company if drywall repair is beyond surface repairs. We hang some board but would sub-contract if we got into whole rooms needing to be hung and finished.

We are fully covered by general lability and workmen's comp and will gladly provide a certificate of insurance upon your request. We have three million general lability rider.

We will never smoke or vape, period.

Exterior Painting & Remodeling Questions

What area(s) will you want redone? Normally the scope is all previously painted surfaces. Will the deck and exposed aggregate need re-sealing? Does the interior of the garage need painting?

Are you aware of any wood that needs repaired? We can do most repairs with our own employees and only need your instructions as to what you want covered in the bid.

If you have a home that has a vinyl or aluminum wrap we can power wash to remove the surface dirt

We can do the estimate with you not being there. If we can get a few questions answered, we may get the scope of work needed.

Is it safe to say that all previously painted surfaces are to be re-painted?

Is the color changing?

Is there a deck of any un-attached structures that need to be included in the estimate? Does the interior of the garage need painting?

Does the exposed aggregate need power washing and/or sealing?

Is there any carpentry work needed?

By taking these steps to prepare for your estimate visit with Chuck Rader, you'll not only ensure a smoother and more productive consultation but also set the stage for a successful project. Chuck's expertise and attention to detail, combined with your thorough preparation, will undoubtedly lead to a renovation or painting experience that exceeds your expectations.
